“As the new century dawns, we Americans are challenged to make good on the promise of religious freedom so basic to the very idea and image of America... But to do this, we will all need to know more than we do about one another...“
— Diana Eck, A New Religious America

Religion is perhaps the most powerful motivator in human life. It has inspired people of all faiths and races to pursue the realization of human rights, full representation and fair treatment for all. At the same time, its power has also fueled the destruction of families and empires.

The founders of the United States understood the power of religion and wanted to protect its free exercise as a potential motivator for good, while limiting the government's ability to harness that power for its own ends.

In the spirit of freedom of expression and responsibility to the community, Marcia Beauchamp Consulting helps individuals, organizations, institutions and communities take seriously the conscience of each individual by applying the fundamental principles in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. These principles are best articulated in the words of the Williamsburg Charter as "rights, responsibilities and respect," and they have been referred to as "the golden rule for civic life."

Our mission is to help Americans and their neighbors in the global village embody respect for the human dignity of all people, to understand as much as possible the deepest commitments of our neighbors, and especially when we disagree, to debate our differences with civility, kindness and respect.
